About Our Chapter

At Alpha Phi International, and here at the Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi, we believe there are five key beneficial aspects that come about by being a member of Alpha Phi:

Academics: Our members take academics very seriously, which shows through in our scholarship program and weekly study hours. We support our members' visions to excel and be leaders in and out of the classroom. We hope to foster our members' creativity and drive in all aspects of their collegiate experiences.

Commitment: At Alpha Phi, we are committed to our sisters' membership experiences. Our founder's vision was to create a women's organization based on sisterhood, scholarship and service. Today, we still hold these values in all that we do, and to each member.

Sisterhood: The bonds of friendship formed in Alpha Phi tie our members together for years after college. It is these friendships formed that lead to smiles, laughter, tears and ultimately, the unforgettable memories our sisters will make. In Alpha Phi, it is the individual that makes the difference in the experience - and a collection of brilliant individuals leads to the experience of a lifetime.

Tradition: Alpha Phi was founded by ten women, and when these women were denied entrance into men's fraternities, they decided to create their own and begin a path of sisterhood and friendship. At Alpha Phi, we uphold the traditions started by these ten remarkable women. While we live in the present, our past traditions bind us all together.

Watchcare: This is a concept that began with our Founders, who bonded together to support each other for mutual growth. Watchcare has three components: the preservation of human dignity, risk management and the development of solid values and ethics to help our members make appropriate decisions. This offers the foundation for our members that hand in hand we will stay safe and grow to meet our highest potential.

Message from our President

Welcome to Alpha Phi's Eta Chapter at Boston University!

When I joined Alpha Phi I found a place where I could be me and be accepted as myself for who I truly am by a group of inspiring, intelligent, unique and incredible young girls who I consider as not only friends, but sisters.

Eta Alpha Phi has given me a home away from home and a support system where everyone is willing to lend out a friendly hand. I truly feel part of a loving community where I am constantly inspired and motivated by all of our sisters remarkable accomplishments. I cannot put into words for how grateful I am for Alpha Phi and the friendships and memories I have made. In 50 years from now I know I will still have a smile on my face when thinking about the surreal experience I’ve had with Alpha Phi.

I want the new pledge class of 2019 to create friendships and role models that will last them a lifetime when joining Alpha Phi. I hope that the strong relationships that each girl in the new pledge class will find with their sisters will allow them to develop a meaningful love for Alpha Phi. I welcome each new member with open arms and I am thrilled they will soon find a new place to call home.

Everyday I am thankful for the opportunities and people that Alpha Phi has brought into my life and I am honored to be the 2019 Eta Chapter President.
